We don't have a TV in our house - purposefully - but I can't help but pick a few shows I like to watch online. This new show, New Girl, is the show I picked this year - I love Zooey Deschanel but the character that cracks me up the most so far is Schmit. I actually laugh out loud.

Year 4: Beyonce
Wow. This documentary (only 20 minutes long, watch it!) is amazing. I am a little late to the game on this one since it's been out since this summer but it floored me. She is just so super cool! I then ended up watching her videos for 45 minutes...she has some MOVES. Again. Wow.
There should be a class you could take to learn the moves from her videos...

Places to Go
Ketchum/Stanley, Idaho
Venice, CA
Kipahulu, Maui, HI
Point Reyes, CA
NYC, NY
It is vacation day dreaming time. You see, here in the PNW, this season we are embarking on is called grey-rain-dark-cold season otherwise known as fall. So this is the time I like to day dream about my favorite places to visit. I'll keep it within the country.Basically anywhere between Point Reyes and Venice, CA are go-to sites. LOVE them. The eucalyptus smell, the palm trees, sunshine against clay walls, the OCEAN. Every time I go to Cali, I feel so healthy and pretty. It has something to do with that sun I think.
Ketchum and Stanley Idaho are soooo pretty. The land goes out forever until, bonk, it hits up against these beautiful mountains. The air is fresh, the rivers are cold and the snow is awesome.
New York City. The best city really to visit. I am not sure I could live here but a few days here and there are so fun. So much life and creative inspiration.
Kipahulu, Maui - HEAVEN on earth. Truly. Walking off the airplane in Hawaii is like wrapping up in your favorite lost blanket...the warmth and humidity are so comforting. The birds, the fragrance, the guri-guri...magical.

Rom-Coms
Lake Bell in No Strings Attached
John Krasinski in Something Borrowed
I'm not sure why I continue to watch these mediocre romantic comedies...I still feel like I have to watch them all even though I know they will be stupid and annoying. I feel as though it is my job as a twenty-something young woman...oh wait, I mean thirty-something young woman. Oh, yeah. That's right. I am growing up now. Ah ha! Maybe I just don't believe the over-processed love triangle anymore. No, that can't be it. I mean I still shed a tear for the Notebook but that movie is SO beyond the scope of these new rom-coms. It is a classic. There. I said it.
Well, anyway. The last two I watched were No Strings Attached and Something Borrowed. The ONLY saving grace was the small roles by Lake Bell and John Krasinski. Lake Bell killed it comedically in No Strings Attached - I haven't seem her before and I just loved her. I will have to keep my eyes out for her again. It reminded me of Kristen Wiig in her small role in Knocked Up - so fantastically funny. John Krasinski was really the only thing in Something Borrowed that halted me from fast forwarding through most of the movie - he just makes you chuckle.
So I am giving myself permission to skip over these silly movies from here on out. I do not need to see every Jennifer Aniston movie. Well...maybe that's a little drastic.

Crazy.Stupid.Love
Ok. LOVED this movie. Now, I know it's been a while since I got to go out ON MY OWN sans children and you may think, ahhh she just loved it cause she was getting a break. Did I mention I was out by myself? Oh. I digress. Sorry, no, seriously, this is a fantastic flick with some of the best comedic and romantic timing I have seen in a long long time. Of course, Ryan Gosling is the king of romantic timing but his comedy chops were surprising which made him a dream to watch. Emma Stone is new to me but I am totally digging her these days. And then there is Steve Carrell who is a crack up no matter how bad the flick (have you seen Date Night or whatever that movie was called?) I don't remember laughing or snorting or giggling this much throughout a film.
Yes, I snorted.
So there you have it. Your next movie out is already picked for you. You can thank me later.

Hipstamatic
Now that everyone and their mother has an iphone with this app, the pictures seem less unique. Don't get me wrong, I still love me some Hipstamatic prints but I have to confess I am getting a little tired of seeing them EVERYWHERE. This is a call to all app geniuses, find me the next super cool camera app!
